Self Accountability

“For we have spent enough of our past lifetime in doing the will of the Gentiles—when we walked in lewdness, lusts, drunkenness, revelries, drinking parties, and abominable idolatries.”

I Peter‬ ‭4:3 NKJV

Of course, your former friends are surprised when you no longer plunge into the flood of wild and destructive things they do. So they slander you. But remember that they will have to face God, who stands ready to judge everyone, both the living and the dead.”

I Peter‬ ‭4:4-5 NLT

Take a look at and pray about
1 Peter Chapter 4.
See what God wants to tell you.

It makes sense. Keeping up with the Joneses can place you in a cycle that sometime never seems to end.

  2. I really enjoyed this. For some reason this reminded me of Romans 12:2.
Trying to keep up with the world & your friends will throw you off from what’s important.

    1. I love that!! Yes that’s a great scripture for this topic.

“Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.”

  3. Thank you for this on time word. We never get too old for the truth to wake us up. We ALL sin and fall away from God’s covering. Things that seem to fade are not fading, they are just disguised under the dust of the world. They spread through and to the air of our souls. God bless.
